Generally, any health or safety guidelines falls under the domain of the State's licensing requirements, so you might want to check and verify with the Licensing or Dept. of Social Services in your area. Basically though, when deciding on whether to use what kinds or types of diapers, pull-ups, undergarments, etc. the main issues involve around the disposable factor, the cost factor, the time factor, the health factor, etc. I've worked in child care places where the parents provide for their child's diapers, while in some child care centers, the diapers are provided for by the center and are included with the tuition. I have also had a friend who had a licensed family infant/toddler child care in her home, whereby the families/parents provided for the diapers. In all these instances, the diapers used were the easily
disposable, non-cloth material, as providers often find it to their convenience.

esp. the section on Licensing and Family Child Care Providers, found midway down the page. They provide additional links with other states. If others have a different experience or take with respect to the use of cloth diapers, do share. I'm sure there are various experiences and perspectives. We welcome them.
Thanks and congrats and good luck with your child care,
